we are rapidly approaching the end of 2010, and with the end of anything comes the beginning of something else.
i figured now was the time to let you in on a few of my goals for 2011, both in my life, and on the blog.
2011 goals for my life:
- complete a sprint tri with a smile on my face (registered for philly sheROX on august 7, 2011!!! even though i might contract the hep in the schuykill river, it’s been on my bucket list for a while, and no day like today…right?!)

- get in SHAPE
- get better about saving $
- continue building baking business (increase customers and outreach)
- cut out more junk food
- go 100% vegetarian (with 2 days/week vegan)
- get more sleep!!!
- be more positive, peaceful, friendly, caring, and supportive
2011 goals for the blog life:
- get rid of one day at a time, and focus energy on the sunday flog
- after a long debate, i decided keeping 2 blogs is too much. my interests are plain and simple – food and writing. there is no denying that, so all of my food musings, recipes, and stories will be located on TSF.
- finally purchase own domain (no more .wordpress.com!)
- no more company sponsored giveaways
- all giveaways will be products and items i use, love, and want to share (and have been purchased with my own money)
a HUGE thank you to every single person that has stopped by to read my blog, leave a comment, or share a thought. it has been a wonderful first year and i am so excited to see what 2011 brings. please don’t forget to keep up with me at the sunday flog!
happy new year!!!
xoxo allison
what are some of your goals for 2011??

If I completed…half a sprint tri there would only be a look of exhaustion and anguish on my face.
Good luck with the resolutions
thanks!! it will be my first race and i’m super nervous, but i know i can do it
happy new year!
Aaaccckk I better go get The Sunday Flog loaded into my Google reader! When are you switching to the full domain name?
Great goals! I don’t really have any that are New Years resolutions since I’m working toward the goal of wrapping up school and getting my personal chef business underway. If I had to pick something as a resolution it would be: less time on MEDIA in general. I spend too much time on Twitter, reading blogs, Perez Hilton, TV watching, etc. I need to scale back on that kind of stuff and uses that time wisely to be productive toward my business goals!
I’ll miss One Day at a Time, BUT I totally understand the time consumption of trying to keep up TWO blogs…! I struggle with ONE!
Happy New Year!
i probably wont be switching it until mid january, but just a heads up. and i will make sure to mention it alot to update readers and whatnot. i think ill be able to incorporate the feel of this blog into TSF (at least that is my goal). this one is very ME, and i’ll be posting daily over there, not just on sundays. i’ll miss this one too. it was my baby!!
happy new year shari! so lucky to have found you
Ali, your goals are awesome, is my brother going to join you in this triathlon? My goal are to work my booty off at school. I also would like to quit procrastinating on big projects at school but sometimes the pressure of getting it done quickly makes me focus better rather than doing some here and there but life would be easier if I just follow the calendar that I actually take time and make every month! To lose at least 60 lbs, I know I need to lose more, but I don’t want to disappoint myself, so anything is better than nothing. I also would like to be more patient with life. There are many more accomplishments I would like to get done but I will work on these for now!
Have a Nice Day,
Michelle
thanks michelle! your goals are awesome too!! i am the WORST at procrastinating, so i can totally relate. you are almost there
I love your goal-setting. It shows how driven you are! I can’t wait to hear more about your business ($ management is tough; esp in this economy) and cannot believe you’re doing a tri! I think you can take getting into shape off if you’re going to be able to complete a tri- that is amazing. I would love to know more about the vegan 2 days a week benefits you have.
Getting your own domain sounds cool too; I’ve always felt like it’s a good thing to do and (I believe) the price point is reasonable per the benefit. I’ll miss living one day! giveaways are totally a good thing, though. I always love the companies who sponsor them and end up shopping for their products- win or lose.
PS: glad you remember being my personal shopper
I don’t think I’ve matured much in the past six months haha still wearing the same-old, same-old. My 2011 goal is to grow up a bit?
One of my goals this year is to do a sprint tri! ahh! We should cyber train together! (Or I might just have to sign up for yours!!)
Oo congrats on the race signup!
Its exciting that you want to go 100% veg this year, I am wanting to do the same, i’m like 90% there already, just need to take that extra step. You can do it!
thanks!! yikes im nervous! i eat veg most of the time already, just by personal choice, but now im actually saying it! you can do it too!!
Hey girl, keep me updated on how the blog hosting of your very own shiny new URL works out. I’d love to know about purchasing that endeavor; I don’t know anything about it!
i definitely will!! still have to look into it more. my goal is to have it done by feb 1!
